First two trips in 2017
The way things have started out, I think the fishing this year will be better than it was last year and last year was great. Since we didn't have a whole lot of big rains the generation hasn't been as bad as it has been for the last two winters. I went out for a couple of hours on the afternoon of Saturday, 18 February and didn't have very much luck but the fish were there. Then I went out Saturday morning with T Harston from 6 o'clock until 930 at happy Hollow and caught between 15 and 20 mixtures of browns and rainbows, the rainbows were long and fat and they browns were just long. It felt like they were letting out more water than usual when they aren't generating, the water was maybe 6 to 8 inches deeper than what it normally is. This made more fishable area at happy Hollow which is good. There are thunderstorms expected for this week so hopefully by the end of the week things will have calmed down enough to try it again, until next time. Pappy
